1 Peter: 1 A Living Hope

When God created human beings, he designed us to be in community. Acts 2 portrays a beautiful image of what the church is made to be. "Church" isn't merely a service or a building we go to on Sunday mornings, it's the family of God sharing everyday life and growing together in faith. These first followers of Jesus lived as a family. They met in eachothers homes, celebrated what God was doing in the good times and comforted eachother in hard hard times.

With this in mind, we're going to try something new! Meeting together as a church family is great, and nothing can ever replace that, but in the hustle-bustle of everyday life, it's important we all get some quiet time to ourselves to dig into God's Word and the truths He speaks to us. And what better way to reflect than with eachother!?

So each week, this page will have a passage posted. We encourage you to read it, pray over it, and post a comment about it. What stuck out to you? How does this relate to where you're at? Anything! Feel free to sign your name or leave it blank, doesn't matter. What counts is that we're spending time with God and growing in him...together.

So for this week: get out your bible or click the link to read 1 Peter: Chapter 1.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade - - kept in heaven for you."

-1 Peter 1: 3-4
